At Integrated Estate Solutions (“IES”) the relationship we have with clients is our most important asset.  We understand that we are trusted with confidential financial, business and personal information, and we seek to maintain that trust.  This policy and the related procedures are designed to reasonably protect against potential threats to the security and/or integrity of private personal information and potential unauthorized access of such information.

All personal/client information that is obtained either verbally or in writing shall be held in strict confidence at all times and all confidential information, whether applying to a current or former client, is subject to this policy.

Confidential personal information is considered to be all personally identifiable information that may be used alone or in conjunction with any other information including financial and business matters and information including, but not limited to:

  • Names, addresses, contact details, and any information identifying a person as a client;
  • Social Insurance Number or Tax Identification Number;
  • Date of birth, place of birth and citizenship;
  • Business details;
  • Wills, powers of attorney, insurance and beneficiary information;
  • Personal financial information, such as investments, property, etc.

Confidential personal information will be obtained from clients through one-on-one interviews, through the provision of a completed Factfinder delivered to IES on a personalized USB key, or through courier or facsimile.  It is the policy of IES to not request private personal information via the internet or email.

IES has developed procedures regarding the physical security of documents/information, as well as computer and data backup procedures, and appropriate destruction of data/documents to ensure the information provided to us is safe and secure.  A copy of these procedures can be provided on request.
